Sexual Harassment in the Workplace

According to the 2014 Public Service Employee Survey, one out of four employees aged 24 years and under, and 19 percent of those 25 to 29, who have experienced harassment in the workplace say it was sexual in nature. These rates decrease steadily with age down to 6 percent or less for employees over 44.

The Clerk—in her recent report to the Prime Minister on the public service—has affirmed that "we must create a workplace that does not tolerate harassment or discrimination. The number of employees who indicated in the survey that they had experienced harassment and discrimination is unacceptable."

The Federal Youth Network invites you to attend a webinar on sexual harassment in the workplace: how to recognize it, what actions to take and what the public service is doing to address it.
